Testimonials
What Our Parents Say
“We live on the big island but were stoked to schedule a session with Max. He was very flexible and helpful with choosing the best park for Kai to practice. Kai is fairly new to skating but has good balance and a desire to learn but was afraid of drop ins. Max was able to assist him and eventually gave him the confidence to do it by himself, now we skate weekly at home.”
Gloria F. (Mother of Kai, 11 years old)
“João knows how to surf and loves his rip stick but I wanted him to improve his skating. Our first session, Max was able to do an entire class on flat ground. It was amazing to see João’s ollies improve in real time, he even landed a shuv it! Now Jo keeps asking when he can skate with Max next. We live up north shore but still scheduled weekly classes at Banzai, so psyched!”
Lucas R. (Father of João, 9 years old)
“Max is the best coach! I stay on Kauai so was hyped to be in his group at Woodward. He's always pushing me to do better and he inspires me to learn new tricks. Over the years he has helped me learn front feebs, nollie into grinds and also tailslides. There aren’t a lot of coaches that can teach advanced street so its sick working with him. I hope we can skate again soon!”
Devin S. (student, 17 years old)
Ricky practices at home but is nervous to skate park. We went to Makiki and he was scared to drop in but Max was very patient and worked on flatground and some other board control basics that Ricky didn’t know. We found out that he is better at heelflips than kickflips. He was stoked! Max told him exactly what to practice at home, this is the first time my son has wanted to do his homework. Max recommended we try A'ala park for our next session, Ricky cant wait!
